Beye LLC launches as a website offering product research, product reviews, and e-commerce. This is where BMC pivoted and, in essence, became a solutions business — providing not only vehicles to educate and market products, but building solutions to distribute and sell them as well.

Eyewire debuts as the premier news source for the eye care industries. News and videos flow between sites automatically.
Eyetube.net launches as the most comprehensive video teaching tool in ophthalmology and wins Silver in the W3 Awards. It becomes one of the highest-volume, most important sites in eye care, with over 100,000 global eye care professionals registered, giving BMC a strong, robust database.
